When he was a just a kitten hidden in a gap between two large rocks, Badger was not named for just his coloring, but also his incredible size. The largest kit in the litter by far, Badger grew into his impressive size as a tall, well-fed, broad-shouldered tomcat. The rogue’s finely sharpened claws and unusually large teeth emphasize his impressive posture.
If he had the power of such hindsight as to see his paternal grandfather, he would know where his fur comes from. His sleek, oily pelt bears mostly black coloring, but his nose (excepting the front), muzzle, chest fur, belly fur, tail underside, and tail tip glow white. Only the black dot on his nose and his long whiskers would set him apart from the cat that was once a RiverClan warrior.

History
``History ;;
Raised as a rogue in a place away from the Clans, Badger heard of them only through the stories of his father, whose father had once been a warrior, and cared not at all for what he heard. Big groups of cats that chased out others in their greed for the best prey and territory held no appeal to him and he applauded his ancestor for leaving.
When he grew, he found himself separated from his family and driven away from his kithood dwelling by a fire. Unwilling to wait out the lasting devastation and lack of prey, he joined with a she-cat also chased from her home and the two found a better territory that, as it so happened, as not far from the Clan territories. The two became mates and had a beautiful litter of three kits. Badger knew immediately that he was meant to be a father, especially when his youngest son, a black and white tomkit like he had once been, took a playful swipe at his nose.
Unfortunately, leaf-fall was becoming leaf-bare all too quickly. Badger’s hungry mate decided to risk leaving her kits for a moment while her mate and she went to hunt. They were ambushed by Clan warriors and became separated in the fight. One young warrior, all too eager to chase out a rogue, bit at the she-cat too hard and gave a killing blow. Badger managed to kill him and badly maim one of his fellows, but was ultimately forced to retreat.
If the loss of his mate wasn’t enough, Badger could find no queen to suckle his kits. He tried to feed them whole food, but they were still too young. One by one, the three kits died as their helpless father watched. The father buried them beside their home and became a wanderer without a permanent residence.
Badger became convinced that the Clan structure promoted needless violence and that the four groups took up space that could peacefully be home to them plus many loners and rogues. He has since gone out of his way to steal prey from the Clans had kill or injure warriors when he can, as well as share his thoughts with other lone cats and encourage them to do the same.
